Language is the tool of the tools.

Lev Vygotsky did not achieve much eminence during during his lifetime and he died at the young age of 38.

A word devoid of thought is a dead thing, and a thought unembodied in words remains a shadow.

During the 1970s however, many of his writings were translated from Russian into English and in the following decades he became enormously influential, particularly in the fields of educational psychology and child development.

Through others we become ourselves.
